Bainbridge College honored two staff members for their outstanding customer service during an awards ceremony Nov. 28 in the Edward D. Mobley Administration Building.
Tammy Clark, who is a systems analyst in the Office of Information and Instructional Technology, received the award for October. Maintenance Supervisor David Brown in Plant Operations was the September Customer Service honoree. They received “Above and Beyond” certificates and lapel pins, in recognition of their outstanding customer service.
With Bainbridge College since 1994, Brown “is very courteous to all … and makes sure every detail is covered,” the nomination for his honor noted. “In a position that is all too often unappreciated, he always seems happy to help and provides excellent customer service to our public and his peers,” said BC President Richard Carvajal as he introduced Brown and presented his certificate.
Presenting the award to Clark, who has been with the college since 2000, Carvajal praised her hard work and dedication. He echoed the nomination for her honor that said, “Tammy is always ready to solve any technology-related problem with a smile on her face. Her hard work and dedication have a huge impact on the daily lives of BC faculty, students, and staff.”
Customer Service Champion Melissa Harrell, who is an assistant professor of criminal justice and instructional coordinator for the Arts and Sciences and the Learning Support divisions, coordinates the customer service initiative and training for BC employees.
