Grace Lady Cougars split GISA games

Coach Mike Harrell’s Grace Christian Academy Lady Cougars basketball team split their first two Georgia Independent Schools Association (GISA) games.

On Tuesday, Nov. 22, they defeated the Georgia Christian School Lady Generals 60-12 in Dasher, Ga., and on Monday, Nov. 28, they lost 57-33 to the Crisp Christian Academy Lady Wildcats in Cordele, Ga.

In their win over Georgia Christian, the Lady Cougars were led by Rachel Harrell with a personal best 34 points.

She also had eight assists, giving her a hand in 50 of the Lady Cougars points.

Behind Harrell in the Lady Cougars scoring against Georgia Christian were Emma Heard with 15, Jocelyn Jacobs with six and Christy Colvin with five.

In their game with Crisp Christian Academy, the Lady Cats were led again by Harrell, this time with 16 points.

She hit three two-point field goals, three three-point field goals and one free throw. Heard and Perra Harrell added six apiece.
