The Bainbridge High School Bearcats wrestling team won honors in 12 of the 16 weight classes here Friday, Nov. 18, on the way to defeating Albany’s Westover High School Patriots in their opening match of the season.

Winners in the matches, held at the West Bainbridge Middle School Gymnasium,  included captains Kole Gilbourn and Cole Bulger, Seth Leverett, Agipito Estala and Can Fountain.

Also winning their matches were Brandon Crawford, Jordan Jeffery and Josh Sheard.

The BHS wrestlers will return to action Thursday, Dec. 1, when they compete against the Crisp County High School Cougars at 5 p.m. in Cordele, Ga.

On Saturday, Dec. 3, they will take part in the Lee County High School Trojans Duals at 10 a.m. in Leesburg, Ga.
