Adams and Peed exchange vows in Dothan

Mrs. Gary Paul Peed II

Jessica Leigh Adams and Gary Paul Peed II were united in marriage on May 21, 2011 in an early evening ceremony at Dothan’s Covenant United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Kyle Gatlin officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Chris and Shana Wallace of Dothan and Bryan and Tina Adams of Bainbridge. Grandparents are Isaac and Diane Tyler and the late Mike Ethridge of Dothan, David and Regina Wallace of Newton, Ala., James Pope of Bainbridge, Pearl Cook and the late Ted Cook of Bainbridge and Buddy and Violeta Adams of Bainbridge. She is the great-granddaughter of Adene Pope and the late George Pope, Eva Causey and the late James Causey, all of Bainbridge.

The groom is the son of Paul and Julie Peed of Stapleton, Ala. and the grandson of Lewis and Doris Jones and the late Rosalee Jones of Bon Secour, Ala., Faye Raley of Bon Secour, and the late Jimmy Peed of Foley. He is the great-grandson of Nova Nutt and the late Jack Nutt of Loxley, Ala.

The bride was given in marriage by her father and stepfather. She chose Miss Kristin Ann Boyle of Hoover, Ala. to serve as maid of honor and Mrs. Caroline Clark Blair of Birmingham as matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Miss Ashley Blake Adams and Miss Lauren Brooke Adams, of Dothan, both sisters of the bride; Miss Elizabeth Brooke English, Miss Chere Nicole McKeel, Miss Samantha Jo Singletary, and Miss Alicia Kay McNamee, all of Dothan; Miss Brentley Noelle Scruggs of Clanton, Ala.; Miss Erin Elizabeth Hartsfield of Tallahassee; Miss Jennifer Lindsey Neyman of Birmingham; Miss Poly Anderson-Robertson of Liberty, Miss.; and Miss Meagan Anna Dinwiddle of Huntsville, Ala.

The groom chose his father, Mr. Gary Paul Peed of Stapleton, Ala. to serve as best man. Groomsmen were Clint Norman Peed, brother of the groom, from Stapleton; Ryan Keith Adams of Bainbridge, brother of the bride; Jason Eugene Stradley of Gulf Shores, Ala.; Allen Miles Pierce IV of Orange Beach, Ala.; Adam John Pugh of Foley, Ala.; Chad Dewayne Peed of Foley; Shaun Michael Stapleton of Spanish Fort, Ala.; John Patrick Chapman of Fairhope, Ala.; Jonathan Scott Gatlin of Orange Beach;  and Christopher Frank McGraw of Auburn; Donald Patrick Gatlin of Orange Beach; and Mark Winston Phillips of Headland, Ala.

Flower girls were Jaden McKenzie Scarpitti of Foley, cousin of the groom, and Miss Karmyn McKenna Alday of Bainbridge. Ring bearer was Will Langston of Gulf Shores.

Ceremony music was presented by Sabrina Hannon, pianist; Rachael Hannon, cellist; Marc McLendon, trumpeter and Jeff Palmer, soloist and guitarist.

Following the ceremony the bride and groom’s parents hosted a reception at the Grand. The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bride and groom’s parents at the Train Depot.

Following a honeymoon in Bora Bora, the couple now resides in Spanish Fort, Ala.
