Special to The Post-Searchlight
The third annual John Johnson Elementary Bulldog Trot was a big success.
More than 100 runners from Georgia and Florida participated in this 5-kilometer and 1-mile Fun Run event to help raise money for the school.
The top male and female runners in the 5K race were Chase Harris and Jessica Wynn. Harris ran the 3.1 miles in 17 minutes and 49 seconds and Wynn’s time was 25 minutes and 13 seconds.
The top male and female runners in the 1-mile Fun Run event were Austin Aldridge and Caroline Kirkland. Austin is the son of Dr. Aric and April Aldridge. Caroline is the daughter of Wade and Nicole Kirkland.
