The funeral service for Mary Hilda Williamson, 83, of Bainbridge, will be held Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 11 a.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Paul Medley officiating. The service will conclude at the chapel. Interment will be at Oak City Cemetery.

Mary Hilda was born Aug. 8, 1928 in Bainbridge, the daughter of Joseph Thomas Floyd and Frances Belle Matthews Floyd. She died Monday, Oct. 3, 2011. She was a graduate of Bainbridge High School and retired with over 20 years of service as a secretary for Bainbridge State Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church and also a member of the Lydia Sunday School Class.

Survivors include her son, Tommy Williamson and his wife, Sonya, of Climax; her daughter, Debbi Howard of Bainbridge; and her two grandchildren, Kendall Howard of Bainbridge, and Malori Williamson of Valdosta, Ga.
