The City of Bainbridge has two exciting parades scheduled for December.

The inaugural “Boat Parade of Lights” will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3, at 6 p.m. Boats will launch from Bainbridge Marina and will travel up river to the Calhoun Street Bridge. Spectators are invited to watch from the banks of the Flint River. Food vendors will be on site.

It is free to enter the boat parade and prizes will be given to the three boats voted by the judges as best decorated. First place will receive $100, second place will win $50 and third place, $25.

The Bainbridge Christmas Parade is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 8. The parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wheat Avenue and will finish in downtown Bainbridge. There will be music, lots of candy, and, of course, Santa Claus.
