West Street Baptist Church—The church, located at 1511 S. West St., will have a Prophecy Conference beginning Sept. 10 through 14 starting at 6 p.m. nightly. Speaker is Donnie Guy.

Bainbridge First United Methodist Church—The church, located at 300 W. Shotwell St., will host Coach Bobby Bowden as guest speaker on Sept. 11, at the 9 a.m. contemporary service and at the 11 a.m. traditional service, in recognition of the 10th anniversary of 9/11. The public is invited to be a part of this day.

• First African Baptist Church—The church, located at 115 Church Street in West Bainbridge, will celebrate annual Women’s and Men’s Day on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Henry Flowers III delivering the message.

Union M.B. Church—The church, located at 703 Martin St. in West Bainbridge, will have a Youth Day Celebration on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 11 a.m. with Rev. Carl Washington Jr. speaking.

Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church—The church, located at 849 Martin Luther King Dr., will be the site of a benefit program for Deacon Derrick Samuels on Sunday, Sept. 11 at 3 p.m. There will be various choirs and soloists providing music.

Mt. Zuma M.B. Church—The church, located at 2015 Vada Rd., will host the celebration of the 75th anniversary of The Amazing Harmony 4 on Sept. 11, beginning at 4 p.m. Appearing on the program will be groups from Georgia, Florida and Alabama.

St. John’s Episcopal Church—The church, located at 516 E. Broughton St., will have a service of vigil and prayers for peace in remembrance on September 11, at 6 p.m. There will be special music, readings, poetry, prayers and a celebration of Holy Eucharist. All are invited to attend and pray for peace in our town, our land and our world.

New Fountainhead Baptist Church—The church, located at 179 Old Pelham Road, 4 miles North of Bainbridge off  97 North, will hold revival services Sept. 11-14, with the Rev. Randall Creel from Forrest, Miss. as guest evangelist. Music will be provided by Rev. Creel and the Keffers from Nashville, Ga. Sunday services will be at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and at 7 p.m. on Monday through Wednesday.

Magnolia M.B. Church—The church, located at 1210 Center St., will celebrate Pastor Belinda Wright-Corley’s annual anniversary Sept. 14-16 at 7 p.m. and on Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Calvary Assembly of God Church—The church located at 3606 Spring Creek Road, Brinson, will hold a revival from Sept. 12 through Sept. 16. Guest speaker will be Rev. Bobby Carnley of Jay, Fla. Service start at 7:30 p.m. nightly.

St. John’s Episcopal Church—The women of St. John’s Episcopal Church will host a card/game and style show on Thursday, Sept. 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the parish hall behind the church on Broughton Street. St. John’s famous chicken salad luncheon will be served at noon and Belk Department Store will show the latest Fall fashions. Tickets are $10. Due to limited space, reservations are required. St. John A.M.E. Church—The church, located at 416 E. Broad St., in Climax, will observe the 145th church anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. Rev. Flavius J. Johnson of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Attapulgus will be guest speaker.

New Salem Freewill Baptist Church—The church, located at 2574 Spring Creek Road, will celebrate the annual appreciation program for Associate Pastor Andrews on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 2 p.m. Elder Ruben Addison Sr. will bring the word and music is by the Friendship House of Prayer of Cairo.

Southwest Baptist Church—The church, located at 1101 Faceville Hwy., holds a Senior Luncheon, featuring a meal and program every third Monday of the month at noon. In September the date falls on the 19th.

Bethel M.B. Church—The church, located at 400 N. Martin Luther King Jr. Road, Colquitt, will host a Spiritual Soul Singers Reunion on Sept. 24 at 6 p.m. Dinner will be served after the service. Bethlehem Freewill Baptist Church—The church, located at 1810 S. West Street, will observe the Usher Anniversary on Sept. 25 at 11:15 a.m.

Calvary Baptist Church—The church, located at 601 Chason St., will host a weekend of fun, food and fellowship for ladies Oct. 14-15, beginning at 6 p.m. on Friday and at 9 a.m. on Saturday. Guest author, humorist and speaker Shellie Rushing Tomlinson, will speak. She is the author of Suck Your Stomach in and Put Some Color On and of Sue Ellen’s Girl Ain’t Fat, She Just Weighs Heavy. Special music will be provided by the Florida Baptist College Ensemble on Friday night. Tickets are on sale at the church office and include lunch on Saturday. To reserve tickets call 229-246-1408.

LifeStream Church—The church, located at 1301 S. West St., will host a four-week parenting class on Wednesday nights, beginning Sept. 21, and running through Oct. 12. Classes are free and begin at 7 p.m., dismissing no later than 8:30 p.m. Chris Beam of the Samaritan House will lead three of the sessions, with the last being taught by Pastor Ken Sellars.
