Funeral services for Mr. William Curtis King, 63, of Americus, Ga., and formerly of Bainbridge, will be held Sunday, Sept. 4 at 2 p.m. at Central Baptist Church in Americus with Rev. Hugh DeLoach officiating. Burial will follow at 6:30 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery in Brinson, Ga.
Pallbearers include Joe Belcher, Paul Hall, David King, Mac Harrison, Roy Cannington, King Clayton, Augie Clayton and David Tucker. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie Rykard, Danny Conyers, Tommy King and Pat Turner.
Born Jan. 26, 1948 in Bainbridge, Mr. King died at Palmyra Medical Center in Albany, Thursday, September 1, 2011.
The family will receive friends Saturday, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Greg Hancock Funeral Chapel and at other times at the family residence.
Mr. King was the son of the late Zackie Dewitt King and of Florine Hart King, who survives him. Mr. King was employed at Con Art as an Information Technologist and was a member of Central Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Vicki King of Americus; his mother, Florine Hart King of Bainbridge; a son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Deanna King of Sharpsburg, Ga.; a brother-in-law, Carl and Carol Walls of Lawrenceville, Ga.; and three grandchildren, Gabrielle King, Christian King and Gaven King of Sharpsburg, Ga.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Adult 10 Sunday School Class of Central Baptist Church, 190 Upper River Road, Americus, GA 31709.
