Services for Katie Laurie Wall Williams, 73, will be at 3 p.m., Sept. 2, 2011, at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Carl G. Garnett officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memory Gardens with Terry Echols, Gary Wood, Joe Peler, Todd Howard, Ray Glass, Pete Stewart, Bruce Martin and Jimmy Winslette serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m., Thursday, at Cox-Ware Funeral Home.
Katie Laurie Wall was born April 24, 1938, in Eatonton, Ga. to Marvin Ben and Sally Mae Alford Wall. She died Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at her home in Bainbridge. She and her husband, Robert Earl Williams, have been married over 38 years. Katie retired from Amoco Fabrics. She was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, J. B. Lazenby.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Earl Williams of Bainbridge; children Diane Wynn and husband Roger of Bainbridge; Shon Williams, also of Bainbridge; Penny Ivey and husband Gene of Covington, Ga.; Patricia Scoggins of Eatonton; Jimmy Lazenby and wife Kitty of Madison, Ga.; Evelyn Smith and husband Ron of Ocala, Florida; Linda Howard of Brinson; Robin Flowers of Phenix City, Ala.; and Tammy Echols of Phenix City; sisters Carol Winslette and husband Jimmy, Janie Carns and husband Frank and Linda Stancill, all of Eatonton; 24 grandchildren,13 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Cox-Ware Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
