Darryl and Pamela Law of Woodstock, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Law, to Jacob McGlincy, son of Joe and Donna McGlincy of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Richard and Margaret Law and Charles Williams and the late Marie Williams.

Miss Law graduated from Sequoyah High School in 2005 and from the University of Georgia with a major in risk management and insurance. She is employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Co.

The groom-to-be is the grandson of Raymond and Dolores McMullen and of the late John and Martha McGlincy.

He is a 2003 graduate of Bainbridge High School and is attending the University of Georgia, studying geography. He is employed by AGL Resources.

The wedding is planned for Sept. 24 at 5 p.m. at the University of Georgia Chapel. The reception will follow in the Classic Center in Athens. Invitations will be sent.
