Funeral services for Gary D. Pinion, 63, of Vidor, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Thurday, Aug. 25, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial to follow at Del Rose Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2011, at Memorial Funeral Home.

Mr. Pinion died Monday, Aug. 22, 2011, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. A native of Adel, Ga., he has lived in Vidor for 35 years, and was a tugboat wheelman for Devall Towing in Sulphur, La.

Gary was preceded in death by his wife, Delores Pinion, and his father, Harold Pinion.

He is survived by his common-law-wife, Pat Ware of Vidor; daughters, Teresa Pinion of Crawfordville, Fla., and Kristina Pinion of Vidor; step-son, Ray Holeman of Beaumont; mother, Ofellon Sue Shead of Whigham, Ga., brother, Cheyanne Pinion of Iron City; sister, Janice Clark of Whigham, and 11 grandchildren.

Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor is in charge of the arrangements.
