Funeral services for Mr. James Hobbie Brunson, of Ashford Ala., will be held Friday, August 19 at 3 p.m., at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Calvary Assembly of God Church Cemetery in Seminole County.

The family will receive friends one hour before the service, beginning at 2 p.m.

Born Aug. 6, 1938 in Houston County, Ala., Mr. Brunson died Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at his home in Ashford, Ala.

Mr. Brunson was the son of the late Drew Henderson and Ila Glass Brunson. James served in the U.S. Army. He was a mechanic by trade for many years. For 54 years, he was a loving husband to his wife, Hazel Faircloth Brunson, a loving father and grandfather.

Mr. Brunson is survived by his wife, Hazel Faircloth Brunson of Ashford; sons: James Alan Brunson and wife, Sally, and Michael Gene Brunson, all of Ashford; three grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
