Services for Elouise Anita Brown, 70, of Wilmington, Del., formerly of Bainbridge, were held Friday, July 29, 2011, at Mount Sinai Baptist Church in Wilmington, with Rev. Larry Vaughan officiating. Interment was in Gracelawn Memorial Park.
Elouise was born Apr. 7, 1941, in Bainbridge, and died July 22, 2011. She was the eldest daughter of Odell and Ruthelma Anthony. In addition to being a singer, Elouise loved sports and school. She and her sister, Pastor Mercedes Anthony, loved to shoot hoops. She graduated from Hutto High School.
Survivors include her sons Tyrone L. Brown and Andrew Brown Jr.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; brothers, Fred O. Anthony of Wilmington and Benny Charles Anthony of New Zealand; sisters, Pastor Mercedes Anthony and Brenda Anthony, both of New Castle, Del., and Deborah Anthony of Bainbridge; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Congo Funeral Home of Wilmington, Del., was in charge of the arrangements.
