[singlepic id=6872 w=320 h=240 float=right]Members of the Bainbridge Kiwanis club were joined by some special volunteers while hosting the club’s annual end-of-summer block party at the Friendship House of Jesus on Thursday.

A large group of 7th and 8th grade cheerleaders from Bainbridge Middle School came out to help with the block party. The cheerleaders played with the kids who attend the Friendship House’s summer day camp. They also painted faces, tossed water balloons and helped the kids play safely on a bounce house and playground equipment.

A good time was had by all. The Friendship House will soon begin its after-school programs, which mix faith-based learning with traditional educational enrichment and fun activities. For more information, visit the Friendship House’s Web site at http://www.friendshiphouseofjesus.com/
