Services for Jams “Stick” Edward Miller Jr., 45, of Colquitt, Ga., were held Monday, July 25, at Old Miller County High School Cafeteria in Colquitt with the Rev. Edward Williams officiating.

Interment was at Whitebridge Cemetery with Charles Gilbert, David Price, Michael Lundy, Greg Sheppard, Ricky Green, Ricky Sheffield, Shawn Sheffield and Harvey Jones acting as pallbearers.

Mr. Miller was born April 22, 1966, in Colquitt and died July 19, 2011, at his residence.

He graduated from Miller County High School in 1984 and attended Albany State College. He was employed by Amoco Fabrics and Fiber for a number of years. Most recently he was self-employed as a trucker. He was a member of Branchville M.B. Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Edith Jennette Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Myesha Miller; four children, Shareka Shuntea Miller, Jaumyen Omar Miller, Weisha NyKeia Sheffield, all of Colquitt, and Richard Marquin Sheffield of Atlanta; his father, James Edward Miller Sr. of Bainbridge; two brothers, Willie Earl Miller and Freddie Earl Grant of Colquitt; one sister, Merle Miller of Colquitt; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
