Archbold’s program offers a range of individualized weight loss services and features a weight loss surgery component, commonly referred to as Lap-Band or Bariatric surgery.

As part of Archbold’s continuing Health Talk free community lecture series, Gregory K. Patterson, M.D., and registered dietitian/certified diabetes educator Beth Lowe will present the Archbold Bariatric weight loss program, featuring Lap-Band surgery on Tuesday, July 26.

Dr. Patterson will discuss obesity-related health conditions and medical weight loss options available to help patients achieve their health goals including Lap-Band surgery. Patterson will discuss the medical criteria essential for a patient to qualify for surgery. Lowe will discuss the program’s nutritional components and the unique support system that helps patients stay positive, focused and motivated.

Dr. Patterson is board certified in general surgery and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Patterson performs Lap-Band surgery, a safe and effective surgical weight loss option that has proven to help thousands of people lose weight and keep it off.

Lowe is the program dietitian, counseling patients prior to surgery and following them for one year after Lap-Band placement.
