Bainbridge High School Bearcats head football coach Ed Pilcher has made a couple of assignment changes on his coaching staff for the current season.
Coach Jodie Sprenkle, who coached defensive ends last season, will coach the offensive line along with Coach Tom Wheeler, who also coaches tight ends.
Coach Sprenkle took his players to summer offensive line camp recently at Middle Georgia College in Cochran, Ga.
Coach Brian McCorkle will return as defensive line coach, adding defensive ends to his duties.
Coach Kelvin Cochran, who coached outside linebackers in 2010, will coach both outside and inside linebackers in 2011. He will also be in charge of the Bearcats weight training program.
Coach Leonard Guyton will again coordinate the Bearcats offense and work with the quarterbacks and running backs.
Former Bearcats running back Larry Cosby will be the Bearcats receivers coach for a fourth consecutive year.
Coach Pilcher’s son Doug Pilcher, who played quarterback for him at Thomas County Central High School, will coach Bearcats defensive backs.
