THE REV. DONNA SUE ROBERTS displays a medallion presented her in recognition of Five-Star Pastors achievement given by South Georgia Methodist Convention during its recent annual conference. Her husband, Lynn Roberts, also was presented a medallion.

The Rev. Donna Sue Roberts and her husband, Lynn, respective ministers of United Methodist churches in Seminole and Decatur counties, have been recognized as Five-Star Pastors for their leadership role in helping the churches they serve attain Five-Star Church ranking in the South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Criteria for the selection is based on pastor achievement in five areas over the past year: Teaching, self-care, net membership gain of 5 percent, reaching assigned apportionment amount, and connectivity with the conference.

Only 22 of approximately 700 pastors in the South Georgia convention attained the status, announcement of which came at the yearly Conference convention recently in Tifton. The Roberts’ were the only conference husband and wife ministerial team making the Five-Star Pastor list.
