The memorial service for Dewayne Maxwell, 44, of Bainbridge, Ga., will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 8, at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel with Garrett H. Inlow officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Southwest Georgia, 1323 E. Shotwell St., Bainbridge, GA 39819 or American Cancer Society, 101 W. Water St., Bainbridge, GA 39817.

Mr. Maxwell was born June 11, 1967, in Bainbridge, and died July 6, 2011, at his residence. He was a hydraulic lift installer with Southern Air Hydraulics for many years.

Survivors include his fiancée, Patricia Thomason of Bainbridge; his mother, Clara Lagesse and her husband, Raymond, of Clarkston, Mich.; his father, Harold Maxwell of Climax; his sister, Diane Strickland and her husband, Marshall, of Camilla; his nephew, Daniel West and his wife, Brandy, of Bainbridge; his niece, Kim Meredith and her husband, Gary, of Whigham; his great-nephew, Joshua West; and his great-nieces, Mollie Meredith and Heidi Kelly.

Ivey Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
