A memorial service for Jason Powers, 34, of Donalsonville, Ga., will be held Friday, July 8, at 10 a.m., at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Powers was born in Hammond, Ind., and lived in Donalsonville since 1991. He was self-employed and worked as a carpenter for most of his life.

Mr. Powers is survived by his mother, Ms. Delois Walker of Donalsonville; three daughters, Brittany Hoskins of Colquitt, Ga., Charity Bowen of Valdosta, Ga., and Skylett Powers of Bainbridge; two grandchildren, Stormy Powers and Kayden Cook; a sister, Jennifer Hall and her husband, Thomas Hall Jr., of Brinson, and numerous other family members.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
