Funeral services for James Earl Norris, 80, of Albany, Ga., were held Tuesday, July 5, at Mathews Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Snipes officiating.
Interment followed in Floral Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Norris was born Nov. 17, 1930, and died July 1, 2011, at his residence.
A native of Iron City, Ga., Mr. Norris lived in Albany for 18 years before moving to Worth County in 1979. He had been employed as a welder with Flour-Daniel for 20 years and was last employed with KSI Construction.
Mr. Norris was a member of East Albany Baptist Church and The Loyal Order of The Moose # 1285. Until failing health did not permit him, he was an avid quail hunter, fisherman and dog trainer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Eloise Alday Norris, and a son, James Allen Norris.
Survivors include a daughter, Gail Fuller and her husband, Ronnie, of Bainbridge; two sons, Johnny Norris and his wife, Norma of Albany, and William Earl Norris and his wife, Susan Madsen, of Coleman, Ga.; a sister, Alma Humphries and her husband, Willie of Bainbridge; a daughter-in-law, Kim Norris of Savannah, Ga.; 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Mathews Funeral Home in Albany was in charge of the arrangements.
