The funeral service for Myrtice Wright Brown, 84, of Brinson, Ga., will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, at Highway Free Will Baptist Church with the Revs. Benjamin Miller and Andy Glover officiating.

Interment will follow at Brinson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, June 24, at Ivey Funeral Home.

Mrs. Brown was born March 21, 1927, in Brinson, the daughter of Henry Scott and Ola Phillips Scott. She died Thursday, June 23, 2011. She was a press worker for Williamson Dickies with more than 25 years of service and she enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and camping.

Survivors include her daughters, Iwana Byrd of Brinson, Ann Scott and her husband, Walter, of South Carolina, Linda Thiel and her husband, Mike, of Wisconsin, and Shirley Callaghan and her fiancé, Dennis, of Brinson; her brother, Jim Scott of Bainbridge; her sisters, Myrtle Kornor of Venice, Fla., and Mable Scott of Brinson; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
