John and Chee Chee Buie of Bainbridge announce the engagement of their daughter, Darbi Buie, to Brandon Brock.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Dorris Uptain of Monticello, Fla., Ruby Buie Hall of Bainbridge and the late Fred Shofner, Roy Uptain, Mack Buie and Don Hall.

She is a 1998 graduate of Bainbridge High School and is attending Ashworth University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. She is employed at TitleMax in Gainesville, Ga.

The groom-to-be is the son of Keith Brock and Cindy Brock of Bainbridge. His grandparents are June Benefield, Steve Singleton and Patsy Glover, all of Camilla, and the late Edward Brock.

He is a 2004 graduate of Bainbridge High School and is attending Adams State College pursuing a Masters of Education in School Counseling. He is employed at Tadmore Elementary in Gainesville, Ga.

The wedding is planned for Oct. 29 at 5 p.m. at the Bainbridge Little Theatre, with the reception to follow at the Firehouse Gallery. No local invitations will be sent.
