Don’t miss all the summer fun the City of Bainbridge has lined up for the summer.

There’s fun for all ages.

The Bainbridge Aquatic Center will begin its second session on of swimming lessons on Monday, June 20. The session lasts two weeks, Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. The lessons are for anyone ages 2 to 17 and costs $35 per session. The third and final session will begin on Monday, July 11.

The Bill Reynolds Tennis Center is offering summer fun as well with their annual Slip, Slide and Serve Summer Camp. The camp begins on Monday, June 20, through Thursday, June 23, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the Bill Reynolds Tennis Center. Participants will have fun playing tennis and water games, as well as receive tennis lessons during the four-day camp. The final camp will begin on Monday, July 18, and conclude on Thursday, July 21.

Mark your calendar for Friday, June 24, the Sizzlin’ Hot Summer Sidewalk Sale. More than 20 downtown merchants have been saving inventory all year long to offer you hot deals on some great items. Participating stores include Alderman’s, Angel Hair Salon, The Bean, Bella’s Boutique, Clark Hidden Treasures, Factory Connection, Isaacs Bakery & Deli, Isabee’s Children’s Apparel, Jacobik Antique Gallery, Jake’s Pawn Shop, Janet’s Fabrics, Kres Jewelers, L.T.L. Flowers & Gifts, Material Things, Polka Dots Gifts Shop, Reeves Linens & Gifts, Southern Artists Co-Op, Special Occasions, The Sweet Spot and Young Fashions. Don’t miss this great sale, brought to you by Bainbridge Main Street and our downtown merchants.

The annual Cheerleading Camp is scheduled for Monday, June 27, to Wednesday, June 29. The camp is for ages 4 to 10 and will be held at Memorial Coliseum from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The Bainbridge High School cheerleaders will lead the camp and will teach participants cheers for them to perform to an audience on the final day. The fee is $40 for the three-day camp.

July 2 will welcome First Saturday Market in Willis Park. Each month, merchants set up in the park to sell all sorts of items, from handmade and homemade items to locally grown produce and yard sale items. You will find handmade jewelry, soaps and clothes, as well as homemade pies, cakes and cookies. You may also find some great sales going on at downtown shops during the market. Held on the first Saturday of each month, the market is from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Finally, July 4 welcomes Fly-by Radio and Southwest Georgia’s largest fireworks display! Fly-by Radio is a 1980s and ’90s rock band that sings hits from many different artists including Bon Jovi, Michael Jackson, Guns N’ Roses and more. The fun begins at 7:15 p.m. with fireworks to follow at dark. You don’t want to miss this rockin’ good time!
