The group will reconvene in August and will welcome all local artists to membership. Annual fee is $25 and allows participants to exhibit in Guild-sponsored shows.

President Kathy Ketterer announced that the 2010-11 Spirit Award goes to Hanna Pate. This award is granted to the artist who has most inspired others in their artistic endeavors.

After enjoying a superb potluck supper the group was surprised by a rare appearance of the Firehouse Ghost. This visit was apparently, according to some Guild members, the Ghost’s first-ever visit outside the Firehouse Gallery on the corner of Water and Crawford streets.

The Ghost, who does not speak, asked President Ketterer to read a scroll that congratulated the group on a fine year of artistic production.

Without further ado, the Ghost disappeared.
