• New Freedom Christian Ministries Inc.—The church, newly located at 725 Calhoun St., Bainbridge, will hold a grand opening, two-day celebration on Saturday and Sunday, May 28 and 29, with services from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. Pastors are Lester and Sharon Hayes from Valdosta.

• Celebration Baptist—The church, located 3039 Faceville Hwy., will have a Fifth Sunday Sing on Sunday, May 29, beginning with 11 a.m. service, lunch and singing at 1:15 with Resting Place from Cottonwood, Ala.

• Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church—The church will host a Fifth Sunday Usher Board Union on Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m. with guest minister the Rev. Willie Smiley.

• St. Thomas M.B. Church—The church, located 198 Edward Road, Fowlstown, will have a Rainbow Program on Sunday, May 29, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Eugene Roberts of Second St. James M.B. Church as speaker.

• Greater Macedonia M.B. Church—The church will host a program Sunday, May 29, at 4 p.m. called Community Mission in Action Working together. Contributions to this organization help feed the hungry. Speaking on the four Gospel writers will be the Revs. John Thomas, on the Book of Matthew, Henry Stevens on John, David Grubbs on Luke and Tamorris Baulkman on Mark.

• Mount Zuma M.B. Church—The church, located 2015 Vada Road, will hold a Fifth Sunday Sing on Sunday, May 29, at 5 p.m. featuring The Amazing Harmony Four, The Spiritual Aires, The Gospel Lifters, The Mount Ararat Male Chorus and Karen Washington and the New Singing Stars.

• Pine Forest M.B. Church—The church, located 104 Pine Forest Road, will hold a Fifth Sunday night sing on Sunday, May 29, beginning at 6 p.m.

• Climax Baptist Church—The church, located 204 W. Lee St., Climax, will have a Fifth Sunday Sing on May 29 at 6 p.m. featuring the South Georgia Quartet from Warner Robins. Public is invited.

• Swanswall M.B. Church—The church, located at 223 Swanswall Road, will begin the annual revival on Monday, May 30, through Friday, June 3, at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Howard Teigs will be the evangelist for the week.

• Climax Baptist Church—The church, located 204 W. Lee St., Climax, will host The Dove Brothers in concert on Thursday, June 2, at 7:30 p.m. The public is invited.

• St. Thomas M.B. Church—The church, located 198 Edward Road, Fowlstown, will have a Prayer Breakfast on June 4 at 9 a.m., with Minister Belinda Corley of Bainbridge speaking on the theme, “Prayer without Ceasing.”

• West Bainbridge Baptist Church—The church, located 801 Griffin St., will have a homecoming celebration on Sunday, June 5, at 10:30 a.m., with Gospel Bluegrass Band and Blue Shades of Grass.

• Nelson Chapel A.M.E. Church—The church, located 640 Hall St., will have a celebration of the one-year anniversary and appreciation for the Rev. James A. Platt on Sunday, June 5, at 3 p.m. A reception will follow the service.

• New Harvest Ministries—The church, located 400 Miller Ave., will host a Women Conference 2011, beginning Friday, June 10, at 7 p.m., Saturday, June 11, at 10 a.m. with a workshop at 3 p.m. and conclude with a worship service on Sunday, June 12, at 11 a.m. Theme of the conference is Heart Beauty—Living Without Limits.

• First Flint River Association Youth Department—The association will hold the 8th Youth Adjourned Day on Saturday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Emanuel M.B. Church, 161 Emanuel Church Road, Fowlstown. Event speaker is the Rev. Eric Collins, pastor of Greater Macedonia Baptist Church, on the theme, “Working Together as one Body in Christ.”

• Pine Forest M.B. Church—The church, located 104 Pine Forest Road, will hold a Vacation Bible School beginning Saturday, June 11, and meeting daily Sunday through Thursday. It will conclude with Family night Friday, June 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. The theme is “Beach Blast-God is Faithful,” where the kids will catch the wave of God’s faithfulness as they learn all about His love for them.

• St. Thomas M.B. Church—The church, located 198 Edwards Road in Fowlstown, will host the 2011 Men Day Celebration on Sunday, June 12, at 2:30 p.m. Theme of the program is “Steadfast Men Working for Christ.” The Rev. Gregory C. James of Tallahassee, Fla., will be the event speaker.

• St. Matthew M.B. Church—The church, located 5574 St. Matthew/St. John Road, Donalsonville, will have the annual Men and Women Day program on Sunday, June 12, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Curnell Henry of Shiloh M.B. Church of Thomasville will deliver the message. Dinner will be served.

• Southwest Baptist Church—The church, located 1101 Faceville Hwy., will hold a revival starting June 12 through 14 at 7 p.m. Pastor Doyle Bell of Fellowship Baptist Church in Tallahassee will be speaker.

• Lily Hill M.B. Church—The church, located in Climax, will hold a Men and Women Day on Sunday, June 26, at 11:30 a.m. with Evangelist Barbara Haynes of Redeeming Life Fellowship Church in Cairo as guest speaker.
