Miss Murray to wed Mr. Plowden

Ms. Deborah McLaughlin of Breckenridge, Colo., and Dr. Richard Andrew Murray of Jacksonville, Fla., announce the engagement of their daughter, Shannon Leigh Murray of Frisco, Colo., to Wallace Warren Plowden III, also of Frisco.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Murray and the late Mr. and Mrs. John McLaughlin.

She was a 1995 graduate of Summit High School in Frisco, and graduated in 2002 from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, N.Y., with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design. She also studied abroad one year in Florence, Italy, and Nottingham, England.

She is the owner of The Shoe Inn and Boutique in Frisco.

The groom-to-be is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Warren Plowden Jr. of Macon, Ga., and the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Warren Plowden Sr. and Mrs. James Carter Fincher of Doerun, Ga., and the late Mr. Fincher.

He graduated from Stratford Academy in Macon in 1997 and from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colo., in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry. He also studied forestry at Lincoln University in New Zealand. He is an Eagle Scout with Troop 19 of the Vineville United Methodist Church in Macon and a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity.

Mr. Plowden is employed with the City of Frisco and is also a partner in The Shoe Inn and Boutique.

The wedding is planned for June 25 in Frisco at the Peninsula Recreation Area.
