Billy Dean, 60, of Milledgeville, Ga., and formerly of Colquitt, died Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Oconee Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were held Sunday, May 15, at Kimbrel Chapel Church of God with the Rev. Betty Dean officiating. Interment followed at Harmony Cemetery.

Mr. Dean was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and of the Church of God faith.

He is survived by two sisters, Josey Cowart of Bainbridge, Ga., and Clara Martin of Montuerde, Fla.; a brother, Charlie M. Dean Jr. of Wadley, Ga., and a large number of nieces and nephews.

Colquitt Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of local arrangements.
