Bainbridge City Council to meet

The Bainbridge City Council will meet Tuesday, May 17, at 6:30 p.m. in its chambers at City Hall, 101 S. Broad St., with the following agenda:

• Consideration of resolution accepting conditions of historic site walking/driving tour brochure grant;

• Public hearing on proposed amendments to traffic-calming device ordinance and consideration of ordinance as amended;

• Planning Commission recommendations: request from Lonnie Watson to rezone property at 816 S. Scott St. from neighborhood business to highway commercial to accommodate a drive-through restaurant; request from multiple applicants to rezone their properties on Monroe and Broughton streets from low density residential to medium-density residential for multiple purposes; request from the City of Bainbridge for the rezoning of several South Scott Street properties from neighborhood business to highway commercial; request from Jason Scott for a conditional use to allow an automobile sales and service establishment at 203-A Airport Road;

• Consideration of employee retirement incentive plan;

• Engineering presentation and bid results for East Lake Douglas Sewer project;

• Leisure Services division presentation.
