Effective Wednesday, May 11, the Social Security Administration will no longer visit Decatur County DFACS, located at 505 Amelia Avenue, in Bainbridge. The Social Security Administration office that provides service to the area is located at 1916 Smith Avenue in Thomasville. The Thomasville Social Security Office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except national holidays. Individuals can also visit us anytime at www.socialsecurity.gov. On Social Security’s safe and secure website, individuals can apply for retirement and disability benefits, request proof of income, change address or direct deposit information, request a replacement Medicare card, locate a Social Security office and find answers to frequently asked questions.
