Social Security will no longer visit Bainbridge

Effective Wednesday, May 11, the Social Security Administration will no longer visit Decatur County DFACS, located at 505 Amelia Avenue, in Bainbridge. The Social Security Administration office that provides service to the area is located at 1916 Smith Avenue in Thomasville. The Thomasville Social Security Office is open from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, except national holidays. For immediate service, individuals can contact Social Security locally at 1-888-491-1886; at our national toll free number 1-800-772-1213 or visit us at any of our 249 offices in the Southeast. Individuals can also visit us anytime at www.socialsecurity.gov. On Social Security’s safe and secure website, individuals can apply for retirement and disability benefits, request proof of income, change address or direct deposit information, request a replacement Medicare card, locate a Social Security office and find answers to frequently asked questions.
