Bainbridge High School Hal Clement signed a soccer scholarship Monday with the Middle Georgia College Warriors.

Clement, a midfielder and captain for the BHS boys soccer team, signed with the Cochran, Ga., school in the hospitality room of the BHS gym.

Looking on as he signed were his parents, Cindy and Hal Clement Jr., BHS Boys Soccer Coach Jamie Ard, Middle Georgia soccer coach Vinnie Gill, and Bainbridge High School Principal Tommie Howell.

Coach Ard called Clement one of the best leaders he had ever coached.

“Hal was a strong player who always worked hard and his hard work is paying off,” he said, describing Clement. “I am looking forward to more great things from him at Middle Georgia.”

Coach Gill talked about Clement’s great versatility on the field.

“I am very excited to have Hal join our program at Middle Georgia,” Coach Gill said. “I have known him a long time and worked with him for seven or eight years.

“He is a very talented player who will probably play defensive midfield for us. But with his great versatility, he could play anywhere.”
