Chris and Shana Wallace of Dothan, Ala., and Bryan and Tina Adams of Bainbridge, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica Leigh Adams, to Gary Paul Peed II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul and Julie Peed of Bon Secour, Ala.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James Pope of Bainbridge, Pearl Cook of Bainbridge and the late Ted Cook, Buddy and Violeta Adams of Bainbridge, Isaac and Diane Tyler of Dothan and the late Mike Ethridge, David and Reginia Wallace of Newton, Ala., and the great-granddaughter of Adene Pope of Bainbridge and the late George W. Pope, Eva Causey of Bainbridge and the late James Causey.

She is a 2006 graduate of Northview High School and is currently completing her degree at the University of South Alabama with a bachelor’s in nursing.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Lewis and Doris Jones of Bon Secour and the late Rosalee Jones, Faye Raley of Bon Secour and the late Jimmy Peed and the great-grandson of Nova Nutt of Loxley, Ala., and the late Jack Nutt.

He is a 2006 graduate of Gulf Shores High School. He is currently employed as the quality control manager of P and R Mining in Atmore, Ala.

The wedding is planned for 6 p.m. on May 21 at Covenant United Methodist Church in Dothan. The reception will follow at The Grand on Foster Street in Dothan.
