An article concerning the 2012 health insurance premiums for Board of Education employees that appeared in the April 23 edition of The Post-Searchlight needs clarification. Decatur County Board of Education employees, regardless of classification, could see health insurance premiums increase by as much as 10 percent next year. The employer cost of the premium for non-certified employees will increase by 51.3 percent while the employer cost of certified employees will remain the same at 18.53 percent of each employee’s state-based salary.
