Commodity distribution Thursday

U.S. Department of Agriculture government surplus commodity distribution will be held at the Decatur County Fairgrounds on Thursday, April 21, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., or as long as supplies last. All recipients must certify their eligibility by bringing some form of identification and providing household income. Bring bags or boxes in which to place items. Each issue will be approximately 50 pounds and include such items as applesauce, corn, dates, flour mix, grits, macaroni, peanut butter, fruits, rice, soups, etc. If sending someone else to pick up, they must have written note from you listing your address, household income and number of people residing in your home.
