Funeral services for the Rev. Greg Phillip Mosley, 50, of Attapulgus, Ga., were held Thursday, April 14, at Second Morning Star M.B. Church in Attapulgus with the Rev. Brandon K. Marshall officiating.
Interment was in Bethel AME Church Cemetery with Ronnie Alston, Kelvin Bouie Sr., Daryl Wilson, Aloysious Evans, Ronnie Curry, George Washington Jr., Moses Spear and Aubrey Brown acting as pallbearers.
Rev. Mosley was born Nov. 29, 1960, in Bainbridge and died April 7, 2011, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
He was educated in the Decatur County Schools and graduated from Bainbridge High School in the class of 1978. He attended Florida A&M University and graduated from Gupton-Jones Mortuary School in Atlanta.
His pastoral experience included the Union Grove Baptist Church in Enterprise, Ala., as an instructor for the St. Mary District Youth Convention, and spiritual adviser for the Salem-Enterprise District Congress of Christian Education Red Circle. His employment history included working in the medical examiners office in the State of New Jersey and as an embalmer at Cotton Funeral Home in Newark, N.J. He was also a salesman for Mike Schmitz Automotive Group in Dothan, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Phillip Mosley.
Survivors include his mother, Anna Lou Bouie Mosley of Attapulgus; a son, William Phillip Mosley of Attapulgus; a daughter, Shannon King of Americus, Ga.; a brother, Nelson Brown of Brandon, Fla.; three grandchildren, two stepdaughters and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was married to Mrs. Pamela Mosley of Kinsey, Ala.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
