Tom and Heather White, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Stone, and the late Angela Stone, all of Bainbridge, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashleigh Brooke Stone of Bainbridge, to Douglas Alan Griffin Jr., also of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of retired U.S. Air Force Brig. Gen. Larry and Gretchen Wright of Tallahassee, Fla., of Mrs. Ellen White of Cairo, the late Tom White Sr.; and of retired U.S. Air Force Maj. Danny and Mrs. Karen Stone of Monroe, Ga.

Ashleigh is a 2006 graduate of Bainbridge High School and a graduate of Valdosta State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. She is currently teaching at Bainbridge High School.

The groom is the son of Doug and Sandra Griffin of Bainbridge. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack Powell and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wiley M. Griffin Jr.

Douglas graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2006 and is attending Georgia Institute of Technology, studying civil engineering and participating in Army ROTC, working toward a career as an officer in the U.S. Army.

The wedding will be May 21 at Calvary Baptist Church in Bainbridge. The reception will follow at the Charles Kirbo Center. Invitations will be sent.
