Funeral services for Bessie Miller Dawson, 88, of Iron City, Ga., were held Sunday, April 10, in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville with the Rev. Jimmy Walton officiating.

Interment followed in Corinth Cemetery in Iron City.

Mrs. Dawson was born in Iron City, Ga., on Feb. 25, 1923, to the late Jeff and Arrie Drake Miller. She died April 7, 2011, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home in Donalsonville. She was a member of Unity Church of God and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeff and Arrie Drake Miller; her husband, Edgar Dawson, and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by a sister, Susie Middleton of Iron City; and several nieces and nephews.

Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
