Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Sullivan, 98, of the Delwood Community, will be Friday, April 2, at 2 p.m. at Delwood Baptist Church with the Revs Lynn Roberts and Andy Hall officiating.
Interment will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Sullivan was born June 22, 1912, in Clay County, Ala., and died March 29, 2011, at Pelham Parkway Nursing Home in Camilla, Ga.
She was a graduate of Berry College in Rome, Ga., and taught for 33 years in Decatur, Baker and Dougherty counties. She was a member of Branchville Methodist Church and a retired educator.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Mary Smith McGehee; her husband, Russell C. Sullivan; one grandson; brothers, Pelham, Clarence, Percy, Murphy, William Clay and Arthur D. McGehee; and sisters, Della Margaret Nettles and Edna Pickard.
She is survived by sons, Roger M. Sullivan of Athens, Ga., and Harry C. Sullivan of Camilla; a sister, Evelyn Etheredge of Chiefland, Fla.; one granddaughter, three great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at Delwood Baptist Church one hour prior to services.
