Bobby and Bennie (Smith) Turknett celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on March 23. The couple married on that date in 1951 in their hometown of Bainbridge, Ga. They are the parents of Leslie (Turknett) Belcher of Charlotte, N.C., Russell Turknett of Atlanta, Ga., and the late Bobby “Bo” Turknett Jr. They have one grandson, Bobby Turknett III, and one great-grandson, Bobby “Bo” Turknett IV, both of Bainbridge.
