Funeral services for Mamie Dell Cannon Bridges, 90, of Donalsonville, Ga., were held on Tuesday, March 29, at the Chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home with Dr. James Rogers officiating.
Interment followed in Friendship Cemetery. Active casketbearers were Mark Hawkins, Kenneth Massey, Carlton Skipper, Chuck Ash, Larry White and Tim Raffield. Honorary casketbearers were Senior Adult Sunday School Class of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church.
Mrs. Bridges was born in Early County, Ga., on Sept. 20, 1920. She died Sunday morning, March 27, 2011, at Seminole Manor Nursing Home.
She was a homemaker and a charter member of the Rocky Ridge Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Arthur Cannon and Susie Viola Mock Cannon; her husband, Sylvester Carmo “Sap” Bridges; a daughter, Bobbie Ann Bridges; a son, Johnny Bridges; an infant brother and infant sister.
Survivors include one son, Carlton Bridges of Donalsonville; a sister, Dorothy Willis of Blakely, Ga.; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, a nephew and two nieces.
Evans-Skipper Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
