Funeral services for Charlie W. Wright, 83, of Bainbridge, will be held Friday, March 25 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church.
Interment will follow at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
Born Aug. 3, 1927, in Cuthbert, Ga., Mr. Wright died on Wednesday, March 23, 2011, at his residence. He was the son of Burtis Wright and Josephine Ramsey Wright.
He was a retired machine mechanic for Amoco Fabrics and delivered The Post-Searchlight for many years. Mr. Wright was a member and deacon of Calvary Baptist Church, and member of the Loyal Soldiers Sunday School Class.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Nell Barr Wright of Bainbridge; his son, Hugh Wright and his wife, Melba, of Bainbridge; his daughters, Wanda K. Meredith and her husband, Bill, of Bainbridge, and Tammie Maxwell and her husband, Terry, of Climax, Ga.; his brother, Agnew Wright of Bainbridge; his sisters, Joyce Morris of Atlanta, Ga., Liz Potts of Eastman, Ga., and Margie Gilbert of Orlando, Fla.; his grandchildren, Brandon Meredith, Justin Meredith, Jason Maxwell, Jamie Maxwell, Shane Wright and Shannon W. Turner; and his great-grandsons, Zack Maxwell and Chase Maxwell.
