Funeral services for Grover Knight, 56, of Bainbridge, will be held Tuesday, March 22, at 3 p.m. at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel with Earnest Dupree and Christopher Turner officiating.

Interment will follow at New Home Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Vada, Ga. Visitation will be held Monday, March 21, from 5 to 8 p.m. at Cox-Ware Funeral Home Chapel.

Mr. Knight was born April 23, 1954, and died March 18, 2011, at his residence following a lengthy illness.

He was a 1973 Bainbridge High School graduate and was retired from Amoco/Bainbridge Mills where he worked for approximately 35 years. He was also employed with the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Bainbridge. He enjoyed mechanic work and gardening.

Mr. Knight was preceded in death by his parents, Cleve and Eiron Knight.

Survivors include five sisters, Audery Sodders of Chipley, Fla., Angela Jackson of Baconton, Ga., Anita Sexton and Amanda Bailey, both of Bainbridge, Amy Jackson of Donalsonville, Ga.; one brother, Windell Knight of Bainbridge; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Cox-Ware Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
