Funeral services for Alice Viola Herman, 60, of Bainbridge, were held Sunday, March 20, from Pilgrim Rest M.B. Church with the Rev. James Baker officiating.
Interment followed at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Miller County. Active pallbearers were Reginald Biggles, Reginald Bryant, Walter Hodge III, Jody Mole, Albert Perkins Jr., Joseph Perkins and Tyrone Perkins.
Mrs. Herman was born Nov. 17, 1950, in Miller County, Ga., to the late Marie H. Smith and Elzy Herman. She died March 15, 2011.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs. Margarett Williams of Donalsonville.
Survivors include a devoted partner and friend of 20 years, Freddie D. Baker; two daughters, Priscilla Harrison of Louisville, Ky., and Melinda Whitfield of Bainbridge; one son, Timothy Herman of Louisville, Ky.; five sisters, Shirley Ann Cosby (Early B.), Mary Perkins, Elvira Reynolds, Linda Hampton (Albert Jr.) all of Bainbridge, and Ethelle Mole (Jody); three brothers, Willie Nathan of Donalsonville, Jimmy Newton of Orlando, Fla., and James Harrison of Columbus, Ga.; seven grandchildren, Alicia Bryant (Reginald) of Bainbridge, Larynx Hall, LeNorris Hall, both of Blakely, Kierra McEntyre, Jakeitra McEntyre, Terrell Penny, all of Louisville and Natia Weeks of Boca Raton, Fla.; nine great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
Guyton Brothers Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
