Memorial services for Elsie T. Hightower, 83, of Bainbridge, will be announced.

She was born Sept. 15, 1927, in Farmville, N.C., the daughter of John Tyson Sr. and Callie Mandeville Tyson, and lived her early life in North Carolina.

After receiving her secretarial training, she worked in that capacity in Virginia, N.C., and Georgia.

She retired in Bainbridge and was a devoted communicant at St. Johns Episcopal church.

She is survived by several cousins.
