Gary and Sandy Rogers of Bluffton, Ga., announce the engagement of their daughter, Rachel Rogers, to Parker Lanier, of Bainbridge.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of James and Pauline Stewart of Climax, Ga., and of Nell Rogers of McDonough, Ga. She is a 2007 graduate of Stockbridge High School, and is attending Bainbridge College studying medical coding. She is employed at CVS Pharmacy.

The groom is the son of Bill and D’Nena Lanier of Bainbridge and the grandson of Johnson and Betty Parker of Bainbridge, and Homer and Billie Lanier of Metter, Ga.

He graduated from Bainbridge High School in 2006, and from South Georgia Technical College with a degree in industrial electrical technology. He is employed at Atkinson Electric.

The wedding is planned for April 9 at 2 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church. The reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Out-of-town invitations will be sent.
