Services for Carrie Cox Sapp, 86, of Attapulgus, Ga., were held Saturday, March 12, at St. Paul Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Freddie C. Anderson officiating.
Interment was in Green Shade A.M.E. cemetery with friends of the family acting as pallbearers.
Mrs. Sapp was born May 20, 1923, in Quincy, Fla., and died March 6, 2011, at her residence. She was a member of Smith Grove M.B. Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grace Moore Cox and Calvin Cox; her husband, Robert Sapp, and one son.
Survivors include a brother, Edward Britt of Quincy, Fla.; three sons, Robert Sapp and Walter Franklin Sapp, both of Bainbridge, and Lawrence Sapp of Attapulgus; seven daughters, Minnie Wilson of Medford, N.Y., Katie Mae Sapp, Inez Carter, Margaret Bouie and Eloise Bell, all of Attapulgus, and Lillie Mae Jefferson and Shirley Tatum, both of Bainbridge; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
