The Joseph W. Jones Ecological Research Center at Ichauway will hold its biennial open house on Saturday, April 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The center was founded in 1991 on 29,000 acres with the mission to understand, demonstrate and promote excellence in natural resource management and conservation.

Visitors will have an opportunity to experience the various programs firsthand, as well as tour the Ichauway property. The event is free and includes hands-on children’s activities, walking tours of working research facilities, wagon tours of Ichauway’s landscape and historical area. Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day. Drinks and tables will be provided.
