Funeral services for Priscilla “Prissy” Denise Whittaker, 40, of Bainbridge were held Monday, Feb. 28, in the chapel of Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville, Ga., with the Revs. David Grubbs and Chad Palmer officiating.
A private family burial followed in Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bainbridge.
Active casketbearers were Jimmy Palmer, David D. Donalson, Nick Jeter, Benny Hayes, Jeff Wimberly and David Brantley. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Elrod, Travis Jackson, Mark Zorn and Billy Lane.
Born in Bainbridge on Dec. 9, 1970, Mrs. Whittaker died on Friday, Feb. 25, 2011, at Archbold Medical Center in Thomasville, Ga.
Mrs. Whittaker was the daughter of Donald Vincent Spooner Sr. and Mary L. Spooner. She attended First Church of the Nazarene of Bainbridge and was the former owner and operator of Polka Dots in Bainbridge.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Guss and Ruth Spooner.
Survivors include her husband, Brandon Whittaker of Bainbridge; her father, Donald Vincent Spooner of Bainbridge; her mother, Mary L. Brackin of Iron City, Ga.; her maternal grandmother, Opal Larson of Bainbridge; a son, Brandon Whittaker Jr. and his wife, Carah, of Bainbridge; two daughters, Brittany M. Whittaker and Ashley N. Whittaker and her fiancé, Stacey Ingram, all of Bainbridge; a brother, Donald Vincent Spooner Jr. of Bainbridge; a sister, Melissa Brackin of Iron City, Ga.; and a nephew, Daniel Spooner of Bainbridge.
Evans-Skipper Funeral Home in Donalsonville was in charge of arrangements.
