Funeral services for Margaret Gibson, 81, of Bainbridge were held Saturday, Feb. 12, from the sanctuary of the Greater Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church with the Revs. Eric Collins and Lester Hayes officiating.

Interment was in Green Grove Cemetery in Mitchell County.

Mrs. Gibson was born May 19, 1929, in Quincy, Fla., and died Feb. 7, 2011, at Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Charles Gibson and James Gibson.

Survivors include her children, Hattie Jackson of Miami, Fla., Mary Henderson of Cairo, Ga., Betty Kemp of Schenectady, N.Y., Shirley Rogers, Linda Pounsell and Annie Gibson, all of Bainbridge, Bobby Gibson of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Willie Gibson of Miami; a brother, James Boles; a sister, Bernice Boles of Cairo; 26 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Bruton Mortuary was in charge of the arrangements.
